The HANABI PVI Metaphase Spreader has been designed to provide optimized environmental conditions for metaphase chromosome spreading preparations.  Temperature, humidity and air flow are regulated and quickly stabilized, so that when chromosomes are deposited and spread on microscope slides, they are dried in a consistent and reproducible manner.  Excessive spreading and chromosomal overlaps are minimized, resulting in better yields of analyzable metaphases.  The chromosome spreading process for conventional G (or equivalent) and FISH band analysis of samples derived from blood cells or bone marrow samples is now simpler and can be easily performed regardless of the level of skill.  Protocols requiring cells and chromosomes to be distributed across the entire slide can be performed using the tilted slide.
