  • Description

Virus collection & detection (  including the Covid-19 virus)

Coriolis can also be used to detect viruses in the air. The challenge of virus collection is to carry out a sufficient collection in terms of the quantity of air sampled but also with a sufficient air flow to avoid a too long process which would prevent obtaining reliable results.

Thanks to its high air flow - up to 300L / min - the Coriolis µ is suitable for collecting air samples for virus detection in just a few hours. With its innovative and unique liquid cyclone technology, it can collect virus particles in a chosen liquid. The samples collected by the Coriolis µ are compatible with all rapid microbiology techniques such as qPCR or microarrays, as well as NGS analysis. Virus concentrations as low as 100 genomes / m3  can be detected in collected air samples.
